The ruins of Weeting Castle

Weeting Castle is the ruin of a castle in the village of Weeting in the English county of Norfolk . It was actually a three-story fortified mansion from the 1130s. It had a large, open hall and an attached two-story block with sleeping chambers. On the northwest corner of the moat is a 14th century domed ice house from bricks . There is a parking lot near the church. It is thought that the complex was abandoned around 1390. Today it is managed by English Heritage and is open to the public.
