The Weißbriacher Hütte is a category 1 self-catering hut of the Hermagor section of the Austrian Alpine Club . It is located on the Napalalm in the Gitschtal , Gailtal Alps .

history

The previous building was an alpine hut that the Hermagor Section leased as a refuge from 1970. The alpine hut burned down in 1982. The existing hut was built in 1984 by the Section as a log cabin .

Entrances and transitions

The hut is accessed via a closed alpine road. For hikers it can be reached in 2 hours from Weißbriach or in just under four hours from Kirchbach . To the northwest, ET Compton Hut is 3:30 hours away.
