White Pagoda in Zhakou

The White Pagoda in Zhakou ( Chinese  闸口 白塔 , Pinyin Zhákǒu Báitǎ ) is a Buddhist pagoda in Hangzhou in the Chinese province of Zhejiang . It is located on the Qiantang River across from the Six Harmonies Pagoda (Liuhe ta).

The pagoda was built in the late Wuyue Empire of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms (907–960). The octagonal nine-storey pagoda was built entirely from white stones. It is about 10 m high.

It has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (3-142) since 1988 .
