Zbyněk Krompolc (born May 29, 1978 in Čeladná ) is a former Czech ski jumper .

Career

Krompolc jumped on December 11, 1993 for the first time in the ski jumping World Cup . He reached the 48th place in Planica . One day later he was able to jump into the World Cup points for the first time with 15th place on the same hill. On December 17th he jumped into the top ten for the first time in Courchevel and reached 9th place. At the Junior World Championships in 1994 in Breitenwang , he won the bronze medal in the individual and the silver medal with the team on the K90 hill.

At the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer , where he was the youngest athlete in the Czech team at the age of 15, he reached 36th place on the normal hill and 29th place on the large hill. In team jumping he reached 7th place together with Jaroslav Sakala , Ladislav Dluhoš and Jiří Parma .

After the Olympic Games, Krompolc remained without much success. He achieved his best placings in team competitions and ski flying in Vikersund in 1995. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1995 he reached 55th place in individual jumping on the K90 hill.

Krompolc already started jumping in the Continental Cup , but could not achieve good performances there either and so ended his career in the World Cup and Continental Cup at the same time in 1999 at the age of 21.
