Weißenfeld is one of the municipality of Vaterstetten in the district of Ebersberg , Bavaria . The population is around 630 people.

history

Weißenfeld was first mentioned in a document in the 11th century. In 1045, for example, a villa "Wizzinvelt" is said to have been given to the Ebersberg monastery .

The town's Romanesque church, consecrated to the Apostle Bartholomew , was redesigned in Baroque style in 1720. The mighty octagonal tower with its "onion dome" is striking.

Weißenfeld is in the immediate vicinity of the Munich-East motorway junction . The busy district road EBE 4 runs through the town, a bypass road has been planned for years.
