The Belarusian Patriotic Party ( BPP , Belarusian Беларуская патрыятычная партыя Belaruskaja patryjatichnaja partyja ) is a political party in Belarus . She supports the authoritarian regime of Aljaksandr Lukashenka .
history
The party was founded in 1994 and was originally called the Belarusian Patriotic Movement . In the second round of parliamentary elections in 1995 , the party won a seat. In 1996, the party renamed itself the Belarusian Patriotic Party .
The party nominated Mikalaj Ulachowitsch as a candidate in the 2015 presidential election . Ulachowitsch took fourth place in a field of four candidates with 1.7% of the vote.
