Lists on the subject

The Weihrauch HW 40 PCA is an air pistol from Weihrauch & Weihrauch .

description

The air pistol in caliber 4.5 mm and caliber 5.5 mm for recreational use or sport shooting . The design is based on modern large-caliber pistols. The technical implementation also reflects the trend of modern large-caliber pistols: housing / handle made of plastic, highly stressed parts such as internal mechanics, the rifled barrel, etc. made of metal. The shooting performance (precision) is comparable to (professional) sport pistols. However, the weapon is significantly cheaper to buy.

The bullet (4.5 mm diabolo) can be inserted into the barrel by swiveling the upper part of the weapon . When the upper part is closed, the compressed air required for firing the shot is generated by a metal cylinder / piston. This cocking process automatically activates a safety device that prevents accidental firing. The pistol is then ready to fire again by simply releasing the safety. The kinetic energy given to the bullet is always constant and amounts to 3.5 - 4 joules.

The pistol is equipped with an adjustable match micrometer sight. In good light conditions, you can aim with “rear sight and front sight” as usual. In poor light conditions, aiming is made easier by the integrated fiber optic sights.

A prism rail on the top makes it possible to mount telescopic sights or red dot sights .
