Weiler is part of the Upper Swabian community of Eppishausen . The hamlet is about two kilometers north of the main town and is connected to it by municipal roads. The Haselbach flows west of the village and the Hasenackergehau forest to the south-east . Several tributaries of the Haselbach flow north of the village. The north of the local area is mainly used for agriculture.

Weiler was first mentioned in a document in 1459. Already at this time the parish and the place with the court belonged to Eppishausen. In 1584, eight people behind were named as landholders of Ulrich von Tanneck zu Eppishausen in a document , which is why Eppishausen was being expanded. Ulrich von Tanneck zu Eppishausen also had the right to lumber in the Eppishauser Waldallmende . In 1540 the place belonged to the lordship of Kirchheim , where it remained until the Rhine Confederation Act . Since then, Weiler has belonged to the political municipality of Eppishausen.

In the village is the listed chapel of Our Lady , which was built in 1709 in honor of the Altötting Mother of God .
