The second meeting of the Weimar Triangle took place on February 21, 1998 in Poznan , Poland . It was the first summit at the level of heads of state and government.

Attendees

Present the were French President Jacques Chirac , the President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski and German Chancellor Helmut Kohl .

Before that, there had been an informal meeting in Gdansk in 1993 between the Polish President Lech Wałęsa , the French President François Mitterrand and the German Federal President Richard von Weizsäcker . However, the first official summit of the Weimar Triangle was the 1998 meeting in Poznan.
