The Johann Topf winery in Straß is an Austrian winery in the Kamptal wine-growing region in Lower Austria .

The winery

The winery has been in the family since 1751. Johann Topf senior took over his parents' business in 1960 and was one of the first in Strass to start bottling nine hectares of wine. In 1990 Hans Topf took over the winery and expanded it to a size of 46 hectares. His sons also work in the winery.

The vineyard area of ​​46 hectares (as of 2011) is mainly planted with Grüner Veltliner , Riesling and the Burgundy varieties Chardonnay , Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir . The winery is a member of the "Austrian traditional wineries".

The Offenberg , Heiligenstein and Wechselberg Spiegel are among the “first layers” .
