Chapel in Weitenried

In 1632 the place was destroyed by the Swedes in the Thirty Years War . The local chapel was built in 1734.

By the Bavarian 1818 Gemeindeedikt community wide Ried Founded included the places

• Bayerzell
• Ebersried
• Kaltenbach and
• Weitenried.

On May 1, 1978, the previously independent municipality of Weitenried was incorporated into Pfaffenhofen an der Glonn.
