Weizhou (Wenchuan)

Location of Wenchuan County, Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous District , Sichuan

Weizhou ( Chinese  威 州镇 , Pinyin Wēizhōu zhèn ) is a large community in the northeast of Wenchuan County ( 汶川县 , Wènchuān Xiàn ) in the southeast of the Ngawa Autonomous District of the Tibetans and Qiang in the Chinese province of Sichuan . It is the capital of Wenchuan County and the seat of the county government.

The large municipality has an area of ​​128 square kilometers and has 30,599 permanent residents.

Administrative structure

The Weizhou Municipality consists of 12 villages ( cun ) and 3 residents' committees ( shequ jumin weiyuanhui ).
