The Wellesley Lake is a lake in Canada's Yukon Territory .
The 7,444-acre lake is 190 km south of Dawson . The Alaska Highway runs southwest of the lake at a distance of 40 km. The lake is located at an altitude of 579 m between the courses of the Donjek River in the east and the White River in the west. The Wellesley Creek forms the outflow from the northeastern shore of Lake Wellesley to Donjek River.
The American char ( Salvelinus namaycush ), pike , burbot and herring whitefish are found in the lake .
