Wellington (Somerset)
Wellington is a small industrial town in Somerset , England . It is about 11 km southwest of Taunton , near the Devonian border. The city has 13,696 inhabitants.
history
The earliest records of Wellington are from the beginning of the 10th century, back then as Weolingtun . The city was also mentioned in the so-called Domesday Book , which records that 61 farmers ("farmer"), 65 smallholder ("smallholder") and 32 serf ("serf") are employed in Walingtone and West Buckland.
