The Wells Creek crater is an impact crater in the US state of Tennessee .

The diameter of the crater is twelve kilometers, its age is estimated to be around 200 million years, the impact event took place in the geological age of the Jura . The crater is visible from the surface of the earth.

In the center of the crater are the finest cones of rays in the world, many have been collected and are exhibited worldwide.
