World in picture

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The newsreel Welt im Bild was created in July 1952 as a successor to the Allied occupation newsreel Welt im Film .

The world in the picture was produced in Hamburg by the Neue Deutschen Wochenschau GmbH (later Deutsche Wochenschau GmbH ) and distributed by Allianz-Filmverleih . Thus, the (New) German Wochenschau GmbH produced two cinema newsreels at the same time, which, however, were clearly under the influence of the Federal Press Office and thus the Federal Government.

After Allianz-Filmverleih ran into financial difficulties, the newsreel in 1956 was taken over by the re-established UFA and continued as UFA-Wochenschau from summer 1956 . This title was used until January 1969 and then changed to Ufa-doing . The last edition appeared under this title at the end of 1977.

Horst Fleck was one of the speakers of the world in the picture , who later appeared on the UFA weekly newsreel.
