Willy Rickers

Willy Rickers (born January 4, 1882 in Kükels ; † April 3, 1957 ) was a farmer and a German politician ( CDU ).

From April to November 1946, Rickers was Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forests in Schleswig-Holstein .

Life and work

Willy Rickers was one of the co-founders of the Schleswig-Holstein Farmers' Association. He was a member of the board of the State Chamber of Agriculture and the Chamber of Agriculture Schleswig-Holstein .

Political party

During the Weimar Republic , Willy Rickers was a member of the DVP . After the Second World War , Rickers was one of the founders of the CDU in Schleswig-Holstein.

MP

Rickers belonged to the first appointed Landtag from February to November 1946 and again to the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein from 1954 until his death .

Rickers entered the state parliament in 1954 as a directly elected member of the Segeberg- Nord constituency .

Public offices

April 11, 1946 to September 4, 1946 belonged Rickers as Chairman of the Board of Agriculture, Food and Forestry that of Theodor Stelzer led government ( Cabinet Steltzer I ) of Schleswig-Holstein. On September 4, 1946, he was released by the British military government . It was officially stated that the cooperation with the occupying power was inadequate. Unofficially, the reason given was that he was not reliable as a former member of the DVP or, according to other sources, that he had concealed his membership in the Stahlhelm .

Honors

Willy Rickers was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st class.
