Ingrid Franzen (born June 25, 1947 in Lundshof / Rendsburg-Eckernförde district ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

From 2000 to 2003 she was Minister for Rural Areas, Agriculture and Tourism of the State of Schleswig-Holstein and from 2005 to 2009 First Vice-President of the State Parliament of Schleswig-Holstein.

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1966, Ingrid Franzen completed an apprenticeship as a senior judicial service, which she finished in 1969. Since then she has worked as a judicial officer at the Flensburg District Court . In 1992 she was given leave of absence for the duration of her membership in the state parliament.

MPs

From 1982 to 1992 Ingrid Franzen was a member of the Flensburg council.

From 1992 to 2009 she was a member of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein . From 1996 to 2000 she was deputy chairwoman of the SPD parliamentary group . On March 17, 2005, she was elected First Vice President of the Schleswig-Holstein State Parliament.

Ingrid Franzen has always entered the state parliament as a directly elected member of the Flensburg-West constituency and, in 2005, of the Flensburg constituency . In the state elections in 2005 she received 39.6% of the first votes . In the run-up to the state elections in 2009 , she decided not to run again, so that she resigned from parliament at the constituent session of the 17th Schleswig-Holstein state parliament.

Public offices

After the state elections in 2000, Ingrid Franzen was appointed Minister for Rural Areas, Agriculture and Tourism on March 28, 2000 in the state government led by Prime Minister Heide Simonis . The ministry she headed was dissolved on March 1, 2003, so Ingrid Franzen was dismissed from her position on January 31, 2003.
