The Simonis III cabinet formed the state government of Schleswig-Holstein from March 28, 2000 to March 17, 2005 . After the state elections and the election of the Prime Minister in 2005, the cabinet carried out the tasks of the state government until the establishment of the first Carstensen cabinet on April 27, 2005.
