Wen Lirong

Wen Lirong ( Chinese  溫利蓉 , Pinyin Wēn Lìróng ; born October 2, 1969 ) is a former Chinese soccer player .

She took part in the Summer Olympics in 1996 and 2000 and in the women's soccer world championships in 1991 , 1995 and 1999 . According to FIFA statistics , Wen played a total of 163 senior international matches between 1987 and 2001.

In 1996 she won the silver medal at the Summer Olympics with the Chinese national team . In the final, she was suspended in the semifinals after being sent off. In the final of the 1999 World Cup, she and her team were only defeated on penalties .
