Wendelins Chapel (Kaisten)
The Wendelinskapelle in Kaisten is a chapel dedicated to Saint Wendelin on the road between Kaisten and Laufenburg in the Swiss canton of Aargau .
history
The exact age of the chapel is unknown. It probably goes back to the 16th century. On the other hand, the installation of the late Gothic pointed arch portal in 1672 is certain, as evidenced by the date on the arch. In the chapel there is a baroque altar with a painting from the 19th century showing St. Wendelin. A protective wall on the west side in front of the chapel, which turns the space in front of the chapel into a vestibule, is unusual.
