Wendland circuit

The Wendlandrundweg is a hiking trail through the Wendland in Lower Saxony . The 70 km long Wendland-Querweg, part of the Wendlandrundweg, was awarded in 2007 by the German Hiking Association as a quality trail for Wanderable Germany , but lost this status again after the review in 2010.

The trail consists of:

  • Wendland circular route over 184 km with 3 sections:
    • Drawehn -Höhenweg over 70 km between Hitzacker and Clenze
    • Wendland-Querweg over 70 km between Schnackenburg and Clenze
    • Elbhöhenweg over 52 km along the Elbe between Hitzacker and Schnackenburg
