The Wendy's Company is a holding company for the Wendy's fast food chain . It was previously called Deisel-Wemmer Co. (1884-1929), Deisel-Wemmer-Gilbert Corporation (1929-1946), DWG Cigar Corporation (1946-1966), DWG Corporation (1966-1993), Triarc Companies, Inc. (1993 –2008) and Wendy's / Arby's Group, Inc. (2008–2011).

The main subsidiary, Wendy's International , is the franchisor of Wendy's restaurants. The company is also the franchisor of TJ Cinnamons and Pasta Connection, which own 243 TJ Cinnamons locations and 6 Pasta Connection locations, and is a minority owner (18.5%) of the fast food chain Arby’s .
