| Tony wants his daughter Samantha to grow up in a good neighborhood. The widower gives up his apartment in Brooklyn and applies for a job as a housekeeper with Angela. However, she has a female housekeeper in mind and is also afraid of what the neighbors would think. But when both her son Jonathan and her mother Mona want to give Tony a chance, she throws her doubts overboard. Tony gets the job even without qualifications and immediately moves in with the Bowers with his daughter. On the very first evening Tony believes he has to protect Angela from sexual assault. As it turns out, the alleged perpetrator is Angela's boss Grant Paxton. Angela is pissed off because she fears the incident may have lost her chances of getting a promotion. Tony, who has high moral standards, speaks to her conscience and prevents Angela from doing something stupid and getting involved in a promotion on her boss. Ultimately, Angela becomes president of the advertising agency. | |||||

| Tony has never set foot in Angela's bedroom with adjoining bathroom since he moved in, let alone cleaned, as he wants to respect her privacy. But since that is also part of his job, he has to overcome his embarrassment. Mona's professor of clinical psychology has made an appointment with Tony, which is why Mona should look after the children in the evening. Angela cancels an important business meeting so she can go to school with her son Jonathan for parents' evening. However, this was wrong in the week, which is why Angela has a free evening. To relax, she takes a bath in the tub in her bathroom. Tony, who also wants to take a bath because of his date, bursts into the bathroom and sees Angela naked. After this incident, the relationship between the two is rather strained. Mona tries a psychological role play in which the two reenact the incident with reversed roles. After initial difficulties, their plan works and Angela and Tony make up again. | |||||

| Samantha and Jonathan get into a fight with a neighbor boy. Angela is not happy about that. She thinks that such problems are not dealt with with your fists, but rather avoided. In a way, Sam even agrees with her and thinks that she and her "not" mother Angela a little distance would do quite well. Samantha decides to run off to her old home in Brooklyn and Jonathan decides to come along. Angela and Tony set out to bring the runaways back home. Tony is teased for his job as a housekeeper in his former local pub, but Angela stands behind him and has a little fight with the waitress. | |||||

| Tony tries to fix the kitchen sink, but he's missing a sealing ring. Mona is in love with the much younger Jason from her study group. At one of the group's meetings in Angela's house, the two are passionately cuddling in the kitchen when Tony bursts in to finish the repairs. Angela reacts surprisingly positively at first, but mistaken Mona's boyfriend for a student Mona's age. However, when she realizes that Jason is even younger than herself, she finds the liaison inappropriate. Jason's parents also find their son's choice appalling. Although Jason's father is several years older than his mother, they find it reprehensible that Mona is older than Jason as a woman. Tony opens Angela’s eyes so that she can treat her mother to happiness. Now Mona has doubts about their relationship, but Tony and Angela encourage them and so Mona goes to the college ball feeling good. | |||||
