Werderstrasse 154 in Heilbronn

The house at Werderstraße 154 in Heilbronn is a listed building that was built by the piano maker Wilhelm Schöneck according to the plans of the architects Christian Dietz and Jakob Saame from Heilbronn between 1905 and 1906. Next to house no. 152 and house no. 155, it is one of three residential buildings that Schöneck had built on Werderstrasse.

description

The facades of these houses show the “typical detachment from historicism ” for their time due to their design that emphasizes the area; in house number 154 this is reinforced by the combination of all floors. Geometric brick ornamentation is used as decoration, creating a relief effect.

history

In 1950 the house was owned by the widow Emma Wohlfarth. Besides her, seven tenants lived in the building. In 1961 nothing had changed.
