Werner Glastetter

Werner Glastetter (born August 11, 1937 in Ettlingen ) is a German economist .

After completing his doctorate in 1965, Glastetter was a research assistant at the Chair of Economic Policy at the Mannheim Business School from 1965 to 1969 . Subsequently, he was a scientific advisor at the Economic and Social Science Institute until 1977 . During this time Glastetter was, among other things, an advisor to the Economic and Social Committee in Brussels. In 1977 he was appointed to the chair for economics (economic policy) at Bielefeld University. As of August 1979, Glastetter was Gerhard Scherhorn's successor and a member of the Advisory Council for the Assessment of Overall Economic Development , from which he left in August 1981 at his own request. His successor was Hans-Jürgen Krupp . At the end of the summer semester of 2002, Glastetter retired from Bielefeld University.
