Werner Hippler

Werner Hippler (born July 30, 1970 in Cologne ) is a former German American football player.

The 1.95 meter tall Hippler started playing football at the Red Barons Cologne in 1985 and was a member of the Sacramento State Hornets college team alongside Aaron Garcia and Troy Mills in the early 1990s . He played in the World League of American Football ( WLAF ) as a tight end at Frankfurt Galaxy in the mid-1990s and moved to the NFL in 1996 after successfully completing a trial training session with the San Diego Chargers arranged by his former coach Mike Clemons . In the course of his career, which he ended in 2007, he also played for the Detroit Lions , the Las Vegas Outlaws and the Cologne Centurions . After his sporting career, he was seen as an actor in supporting roles in European films. He also founded the security company "Rhein Security". In 2012 he played a leading role as the car collector Werner Brede in the RTL II pseudo-documentary Die Autoeinreiber .
