Brave Little Tailor (alternative title: The Brave Little Little Tailor ) is an American animated short film directed by Bill Roberts from 1938.
action
A giant is threatening a small town . The population is worried, only a little tailor has other worries. He is disturbed while tailoring seven flies , all of which he finally hunted in one go. He opens his window and exclaims enthusiastically that he had killed seven in one fell swoop, just as one city dweller asked the other if he had ever killed a giant. The news from the tailor who killed seven spreads like wildfire through the city and reaches the royal palace. The king promises the tailor money and the hand of his daughter Minnie if he would conquer the giant. The tailor is afraid, but cannot clear up the misunderstanding.
Amid the cheers of the population, he goes in search of the giant. Suddenly he appears, the tailor hides in a cart full of pumpkins , which the giant eats little by little. The tailor is also devoured, but can escape from the giant's mouth into a large bale of hay. The giant then turns into a cigarette and the tailor threatens to burn himself - he works his way out of the cigarette and is now visible to the giant. He chases the tailor, who escapes into one of the giant's sleeves and finally sews the hand that follows him into his shirt. The tailor finally wraps his thread around the entire giant and brings him down.
The city is saved. An amusement park is now being built around the giant, which the sleeping giant supplies with wind energy through his breath. The tailor and Minnie become a couple, and they both kiss as they ride a carousel . The king is satisfied with an ice cream.
