Werner Linkner

Werner Linkner (* 16th January 1929 in Duisburg , † 21st July 2013 in Dresden) was a German politician of the SPD .

education and profession

Werner Linkner attended elementary school, middle school and business school. In 1945 he received the secondary school leaving certificate. By 1946 he graduated from the commercial college. He took the middle civil service career. From 1946 to 1949 he worked for the Deutsche Reichsbahn. In 1949 he switched to the federal finance administration. In 1953 he passed the customs assistant examination, in 1960 the customs inspector examination. He hit the high official career as a border guard and worked as a clerk and customs commissioner. In 1969 he became head of the customs office.

politics

Werner Linkner had been a member of the SPD since 1962. In 1965 he became sub-district chairman of the SPD in the Kleve district and from 1972 district committee chairman of the SPD in the Niederrhein district. From 1972 to 1978 he was a member of the state committee of the SPD. From 1964 to 1979 he was a member of the Kleve City Council, from 1969 a member of the Kleve District Council and the Rhineland Regional Assembly. Linkner became a member of the public services, transport and traffic union in 1966.

Werner Linkner was from October 19, 1979 to May 28, 1980 and from January 2, 1984 to May 29, 1985 a member of the 8th and 9th state parliaments of North Rhine-Westphalia, to which he moved up.
