Werner Möckel

Werner Möckel (born May 19, 1923 - August 2, 1960 ) was a German football player .

Career

The striker Werner Möckel began his career at Planitzer SC and from 1945 first played for SG Cainsdorf from Zwickau . In January 1948 Möckel moved to SV Ennigloh 09 from Bünde and played in the district class for a year before moving on to STV Horst-Emscher from the first-class Oberliga West during the winter break of the 1948/49 season . With the Gelsenkircheners Möckel reached the German soccer championship 1949/50 , where the STV failed in the round of 16 at SpVgg Fürth . From 1952 to 1958 Möckel let his career end at VfB Bottrop . Werner Möckel completed 72 league games for Horst-Emscher and scored 16 goals.
