Werner Miedl (born March 15, 1955 in Oberwölz , Styria ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Werner Miedl worked from 1970 to 1975 in his learned profession as a toolmaker . From 1976 to 1995 and again since 2000 he worked as a police officer.

Werner Miedl was a councilor in Graz from 1983 to 1999 , and from 1995 to 1999 he was the managing director of the Graz People's Party. From 1999 to 2005 he was a member of the National Council - responsible for security and transport. He was city councilor for culture, science and education in Graz (2005–2008); In 2008 Miedl resigned on charges of a reporting offense. Chairman of the Graz ÖAAB since 1993 - largest sub-organization of the Graz People's Party; Founder of Wiki-Steiermark (childcare facilities, care for the elderly, children and family events) with more than 600 employees.
