Werner Ruchel (born June 26, 1939 - June 3, 2008 ) is a former German football player .
Career
The center forward Werner Ruchel played for Arminia Bielefeld since the early 1960s and was Westfalenmeister with the team in 1962. The Bielefelder rose to the II. Division West and managed a year later on the last match day with a 4-1 win against Dortmund SC 95 the qualification for the newly created Regionalliga West . Ruchel contributed two goals to the win against Dortmund. In the Regionalliga, Werner Ruchel played for the Bielefeld team for five years and left the club in the summer of 1968 with an unknown goal. Ruchel played 93 regional league games for the Bielefeld team and scored 16 goals. He died a few weeks before his 69th birthday.
