Werner Schochow

Werner Schochow (born November 1925 ) is a German librarian and historian.

Werner Schochow studied history and received his doctorate from the Free University of Berlin in 1961 . From October 1962 he completed his training as a trainee librarian at the State Library of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation in Berlin and worked there from 1964 until his retirement in spring 1989. His main field of research is the history of the State Library and its staff.
