Gregor Balažic (born February 12, 1988 in Murska Sobota , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Slovenian football player.

Career

He started his career in 2005 with ND Mura 05 . In the same year he moved to Portugal to Benfica Lisbon . There he played until 2007. In 2007 he moved to Espanyol Barcelona . He did not play a competitive game for Espanyol and Benfica . In the same year he moved to Águilas CF. In 2008 he returned to Slovenia and switched to ND Gorica . There he played from 2008 to 2010. After good performance, he moved in 2011 to the Ukrainian first division club Karpaty Lviv . On February 4, 2015, he signed a contract with FK Partizan Belgrade . In the 2014/2015 season he won the Serbian championship with Partizan . He won the Serbian Cup in the 2015/2016 season . On December 30, 2016, he left Partizan Belgrade and moved to the Russian Premier League for FK Urals . At FK Ural he signed a contract for two and a half years.

On May 26, 2012, he was nominated for the first time for the Slovenian national football team against Greece , but remained without use. On November 11, 2013 he was substituted on in the game against Canada in the second half and thus celebrated his debut for the Slovenian national football team. He played his second international match against Argentina on June 7, 2014 , during which he was substituted on in the second minute.
