Werner Taiber

Werner Taiber (born December 12, 1961 in Dortmund ) was a board member of WestLB .

Professional career

After graduating from high school, Werner Taiber studied business administration from 1981 to 1987 at the universities of Dortmund and Münster (Westphalia) with a degree in business administration .

He then worked for WestLB in the investment banking division until 1990 , most recently as the chief loan officer. From 1990 to 1997 he was product advisor for foreign issues, the deal desk , derivatives and for the German capital market, most recently head of customer service Supras / foreign issues deal desk. From 1998 to 2001 he headed the Frequent Borrower Desk, responsible for frequent borrowers, and the WestLB Issues division, then until 2003 he headed the Products Primary Markets division. From 2004 to 2005 he was head of the Debt Capital Markets division.

In September 2005 he was appointed a member of the Investment Banking division, and in January 2006 he was appointed head of the Global Distribution division. Since June 2006 he was a member of the board of WestLB. There he was responsible for research, medium-sized and large customers and, together with Robert M. Stein, for global markets, business management, corporate finance and global origination. After the demerger of WestLB on June 30, 2012, he resigned from the Management Board of the successor institute Portigon AG on August 31, 2012 .
