Karl Weinmair
Karl Weinmair (* 1906 in Munich ; † October 4, 1944 there ) was a German painter.
Weinmair lived in Munich all his life. In his youth he decided to become a painter and did an apprenticeship with Olaf Gulbransson in particular . His works often addressed the Munich petty bourgeoisie. Weinmair took part in the Second World War as a soldier. His last work, Sketchbook from the 1000-year Reich, from 1944, depicts the physiognomies of National Socialists and Wehrmacht officers.
