West Lunga National Park

The West Lunga National Park (English West Lunga National Park ) is 1100 to 1400 meters high and covers an area of ​​410,000 hectares in the north-western province of Zambia .

The West Lunga River flows through the park from north to south. Mavunda forest is dominant in addition to grasslands, swamps, floodplains, Miombo forests and all kinds of bushland. There are elephants , buffalo , Sitatunga antelopes , waterbuck and numerous other antelope species. The river outside the park has a good reputation among anglers.

The park can be reached from the Solwezi to Kabompo road . There are lodges.
