As West Lodge , and Gardener's House , the former home of the gardener is Islay House called. It is located on the western edge of the Scottish town of Bridgend on the Hebridean island of Islay , about 300 meters southeast of Islay House. On August 28, 1980, the building was placed on the Scottish List of Monuments in Category C.

West Lodge is just off the A847 that connects Bridgend with Port Charlotte and Portnahaven . The building, which dates back to the early 19th century, was erected near the nursery at one of the entrance gates to Islay House. A small porch with a gable roof at the front forms the entrance area. Another wing branches off the rear of the one-story main wing. Lattice windows are embedded in the facades, which are plastered using the traditional Harling technique. Both wings end with slate-covered gable roofs. On the western flank there is a flatter extension made of jointed quarry stone.
