List of geese breeds

West English geese or West of England geese are a breed of domestic geese with a distinctive color .

features

West English geese are a rare traditional breed of medium-weight geese. They originally existed in the south of England, particularly Devon and Cornwall . They are color-coded so that female geese can be recognized by the gray markings on their heads and backs as soon as they hatch.

West English geese have blue eyes, an orange beak, double belly dewlap, and a calm character. The gander is always white, possibly with traces of gray in the plumage. The female goose is drawn in gray on the head, neck, back and thigh plumage.
