Westhoyel
The village of Westhoyel belongs to the western district of Riemsloh of the city of Melle in Lower Saxony , Germany . It is a scattered settlement of individual homesteads.
The next school is the primary school in Riemsloh, just under four kilometers from Westhoyel. The settlement structure is dominated by agriculture and has no multi-family houses . A bus connection to Melle is used to connect to the public transport network.
Every year, in summer, there is a tug-of-war festival in Hoyel . One of the sights is the Wallholländer windmill from 1870 , where a grinding and baking day takes place every 4th Sunday in the summer months. Until around 1920 it was operated with wind power. Motors have been used as drives since then. Next to the mill are a bakery renovated in 1996 and a miller's house renovated in 1993. The miller's house can also be rented for private parties. On the first of May there will also be a well-known meeting for vintage motorcycles, organized by the AMC Hoyel eV in the ADAC.
As a special feature, it should be mentioned that Westhoyel has several riding arenas.
