The Westwood Plateau settlement is located in the northeast of the metropolitan area of Vancouver and north of the city of Coquitlam on a hill between Burrard Inlet and Pitt River .

At the 2001 census, Westwood Plateau was home to 14,685 people, including 5,915 people of Chinese descent, 2,375 of English descent, 1,820 Canadians, 1,335 Scots and several other nations. 59 percent of the population has a migration background.
