While Your Lips Are Still Red is a song by Tuomas Holopainen and Marco Hietala , written for the Finnish film Lieksa! (Director: Markku Pölönen) was written. The film was released in September 2007. While Your Lips Are Still Red is included on Nightwish single Amaranth , again a release from Dark Passion Play .
The phrase "Kiss while your lips are still red", which is used again and again throughout the song, simply means "kisses while you can", or more freely translated "experience it while you can". The official music video contains excerpts from the film Lieksa! and scenes in which Marco Hietala sings and Tuomas Holopainen follows him. The video was posted on YouTube on June 14, 2007 .
While Your Lips Are Still Red is not an official Nightwish song, but the official website clearly states that the song was written by Tuomas Holopainen and that he plays the keyboard; Jukka Nevalainen plays the drums and Marco Hietala sings. The song does not contain a guitar or female voice. In the background the voice of Tuomas Holopainen can be heard in places. In addition, Nightwish, or rather Marco Hietala, Tuomas Holopainen and Jukka Nevalainen, played the song at the Wacken Open Air 2008.
