White Aryan Resistance

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

White Aryan Resistance ( "White Aryan Resistance") is an American neo-Nazi organization, the former Ku Klux Klan -Leader Tom Metzger was founded and is managed. It was based in California and is now in Warsaw, Indiana . The group was originally known as the “White American Political Association” or “WAPA”, then was renamed “White American Resistance”, later the “American” was replaced by “Aryan”.

The organization holds beliefs that it describes as racist . For example, their newspaper The Insurgent refers to itself as "the most racist newspaper on Earth" and their website offers visitors "Racist jokes" and "Racist videos".

Racist ideas

Like many other white supremacy groups and white nationalist groups , WAR has a very narrow conception of who “white” and “Aryan” are, namely only non-Jews and people of European descent. People with different racial roots and only partially white ancestors are not viewed as "white", but as representatives of a new mixed race type. Relationships between whites and non-whites, regardless of gender, are condemned because these births from mixed marriages depress the number of purebred white births. Because white homosexuals are also not helping to increase this quota, WAR is also against them.

The group believes individual races can take over the world, and the white race is key. WAR therefore wants the purebred white population to multiply so that the white race gains supremacy. The white US population must continue to multiply in order to achieve sole rule over the US.

WAR represents the view of “predestination through birth”, the right of the stronger. Whites are seen as being genetically superior to other races and the various achievements of the peoples as dependent on genetic potential.

There are general principles of what WAR members should and should not do. The structure of the organization propagates leaderless resistance ("leaderless resistance", comparable to Combat 18 ) and lone fighter activism. WAR runs an extensive prison service organization. Whites who oppose the supposed cause of whites are viewed as traitors to their own blood.

In contrast to the KKK, WAR does not refer to Christianity but condemns it as an outgrowth of Judaism . Wyatt Kaldenberg, temporarily editor of Metzger's magazine WAR , promoted the neo-pagan religion of Ásatrú , with worship of the goddesses Odin , Thor and Frigga . He glorified violence, justified by his Manichean worldview: He saw history as a battle between the divine Aryans and the forces of Judean Christianity directed against nature.

In contrast to other white supremacy groups, WAR supposedly represents the rights of women, stands for women's equality, because they believe that in early America, white settler women also had to "shoot or drive out Indians or wild animals". It must have been the same with the early humans. It is illogical to think that women would not have participated in the struggle for survival if one Stone Age tribe was attacked by another. Nevertheless, WAR has also advocated anti-feminism because it separates the sexes rather than unifying them.

Legal and financial difficulties

The organization went bankrupt over civil lawsuit relating to WAR's complicity in the death of Mulugeta Seraw , an Ethiopian who immigrated to graduate from college . In 1988 Seraw was killed by racists convicted of the crime and sentenced to prison terms. Morris Dees and the Southern Poverty Law Center have indicted Metzger, the founder and leader of WAR. WAR influenced Seraw's killer to persuade the East Side White Pride group to commit violent acts. The court pronounced the highest sentence ever imposed in any civil case in Oregon history - $ 12.5 million for Metzger and WAR.
