In her film, the Afro-German presenter and filmmaker Mo Asumang embarks on a journey into the neo-Nazi scene around the world. In personal conversations she lets members of different neo-Nazi groups describe the worldview. Asumang attends NPD events in Gera, Wismar and Potsdam. In the United States , she meets with members of the Ku Klux Klan and with Tom Metzger, founder of the White Aryan Resistance . On her journey, among others in Iran , she searches for the origins of the term “ Aryans ” and for reasons for racial hatred and possible strategies for overcoming it.

Reviews

"Even if the roles of good and bad are very clearly divided: an educational work that is as personal as it is beneficial."

- Oliver Creutz in stern.de

"It's an incredible, incredibly exciting film."

- Peter Zander in Berliner Morgenpost

"A fraction of the courage of filmmaker Mo Asumang, who pulls German and American neo-Nazis in front of the camera, would have been wished for ZDF: broadcasting this important documentary research at midnight is (despite the media library) a cheek."

- Oliver Junge in the FAZ

"Asumang confronts visitors to neo-Nazi demos [...] and other racists with emphatic naivety. This attitude is problematic because the neo-Nazis' hoped-for “self-exposure” hardly succeeds. On the contrary, they are offered a stage on which they can spread their inhuman ideology without comment. "

- Sophie Bose on netz-gegen-nazis.de

“Mo Asumang dares something. The dark-skinned German stands all alone at a neo-Nazi march in the midst of bald heads and asks her: "What are you demonstrating for here?" She asks very calmly, calmly - a kind of cinematic journey of discovery into the world of racism "

- Nicole Richter in church in WDR 2
