The Whitecourt Crater is an impact crater in the Canadian province of Alberta . It is located about 6 miles southeast of the town of Whitecourt in Woodlands County .

The crater is approximately 36 m in diameter and 9 m deep. Its age is estimated to be between 1080 and 1130 years, because the fragments of the meteorite lie above a carbon layer that came from a forest fire around 1100 years ago.
