Whitehead ( Irish : An Cionn Bán ) is a town of about 3,700 people in the historic County of Antrim on the east coast of Northern Ireland in the Mid and East Antrim district .

Whitehead's Central Station opened on May 1, 1863; Whitehead Excursion Platform began operating on July 10, 1907.
