Structure and fields of activity

Since it was founded in 1945, Wiedemann has developed from a specialist supplier for the sugar industry to a specialist supplier and specialist for building technology and has built up additional business areas. In addition to Wiedemann in Sarstedt, the group now includes other companies: Wiedemann Burg, Walter Wesemeyer, Peter Helmich, Wiedemann Elektro, GFR - Society for Control Technology and Energy Saving and LSH with over 84 locations. history

In 1945 the sole proprietorship Hermann Wiedemann, Rethen, was founded by Hermann Wiedemann as a supplier for the regional sugar industry. With Karl-Heinz Wiedemann as sole owner and managing director, the second generation took over the management of the company in 1966. Barbara Wiedemann, daughter of Karl-Heinz Wiedemann, joined the company in 1981. In 1983 the company was converted to Wiedemann KG, Sarstedt. Barbara Wiedemann took over the sole management of Wiedemann KG, Sarstedt and the associated companies. At that time, Wiedemann KG consisted of the headquarters in Sarstedt and three branches in Braunschweig, Göttingen and Soltau. In 1986 the LSH Leistungsgemeinschaft Sanitär -heizung GmbH was founded, based in Hanover. The LSH was the first vertical cooperation to optimize the cooperation between the specialist trade, specialist trade and industry in the field of sanitary heating in Germany. In 1990, Wiedemann Industrie und Haustechnik GmbH, Burg was founded. In 1992, Wiedemann Polska Sp. Z oo, Warsaw, was founded. In 1997, the majority of GFR-Gesellschaft für Steuerungstechnik und Energieeinicherung mbH, Verl., Was taken over. In 2001, Wiedemann KG was transformed into Wiedemann GmbH & Co. KG, Sarstedt, as well as a merger of Wiedemann GmbH & Co. KG, Osnabrück including the Bielefeld branch with Wiedemann GmbH & Co.KG, Sarstedt. In 2007 the cooperation with Wilhelm Koch GmbH, Osnabrück began. In 2008 expansion took place by opening new locations in the individual sales areas of the Wiedemann group of companies. In 2009/10, SAP was introduced in the Wiedemann houses including Walter Wesemeyer. In 2011, Wiedemann Elektro GmbH & Co.KG, Sarstedt was founded. Peter Helmich has been part of the Wiedemann Group since 2018. In July 2019, the Wiedemann Group sold the subsidiary GFR-Gesellschaft für Steuerungstechnik und Energieeinicherung gmbH (Verl) to Bosch Building Technologies .
