Wieselbach is a deserted area on the Baumholder military training area in Rhineland-Palatinate .

history

The village of Wieselbach belonged to the county of Grumbach around 1600 . In 1933 the community in the southern district of Birkenfeld had 219 inhabitants. These had to leave the place in 1937 when the Baumholder military training area was established. This became a desert , the district belonged to the Baumholder manor district until December 31, 1993. Every year, former residents of Wieselbach and 13 other abandoned villages in the area meet at the former location to exchange their memories.
