Viktar Ivanavich Zjareschtschanka ( Belarusian Віктар Ӏванавіч Цярэшчанка , Russian Виктор Иванович Терещенко / Viktor Ivanovich Tereshchenko ; * the thirtieth January 1950 , village Dubrovka, Raion Krasnopolje, Mogiljowskaja Oblast , Soviet Union ) is a Belarusian politician. He was a candidate for the 2010 presidential election . Viktor Tsareshchanka is married and has three daughters.

education

In 1975 Viktor Tsareshchanka graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the Francysk Skaryna State University in Gomel . After that, his professional activity was connected with technical, economic and scientific activities.

He successfully completed his studies at the International Management Institute (MIM-Kiev, Ukraine) and at the University of Delaware (USA), where he received his diploma (MBA - Master of Business Administration in International Business).

Viktor Tsareshchanka has a doctorate in economics and is a corresponding member of the International Academy for Management and International Engineering Academy (Moscow).

In 2004, for outstanding contributions to the development of management theory and practice of modern economies, in the Belarusian Academy of Technical Awards, he received a higher qualification - the doctoral engineer.

Professional Activities

Viktor Tsareshchanka initially worked as a locksmith and milling cutter, later he became an engineer and manager. He took part in the liquidation to eliminate the consequences of the nuclear power plant accident in Chernobyl . From 1992 to 2004 he headed the International Institute of Management (IIM-BLR). He is the author of more than 70 scientific papers in the field of economic and economic development of Belarus.

Social and Political Activities

In the years 1993–2004, Viktor Tsareshchanka was the chairman of the Belarusian public association “People's Diplomacy”. From 1994 to 2000 he chaired the "Belarusian People's Party" ( Belarusian Беларуская народная партыя ). In 1994 he was made a candidate for President of the Republic of Belarus. From 1996 to 2000 he was a member of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Belarus. Later, Viktor Tsareshchanka was chairman of the Association of Small and Medium Business Development.

For the 2010 presidential election , Tsareshchanka ran as one of three non-party candidates. In the country report of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung it is said: “Especially with Tereschtschenko it is assumed that he could be a project of the presidential administration and a kind of 'back-up candidate' for Lukashenko”. With 1.08% of the vote, it came in 7th.

Prizes and awards

In 2004, Wiktar Tsareshchanka was awarded the international “St. Sofia ”for his personal contribution to the revival of the clergy, national culture and science.

In 2008 he became an honorary citizen of the French community of Béthune .
