Wild tones
Wilde Töne is a festival for folk and world music in the eastern ring area of Braunschweig .
The “Wilde Töne” festival was launched in 2007 in the eastern ring area of Braunschweig and has since become an integral part of the music scene in Braunschweig and one of the largest festivals of this genre in Lower Saxony . The festival takes place every two years at different venues in ballrooms, churches and open air.
Regional and international musicians present different currents and music scenes and use this forum for music from the fields of folk, world music and crossover to exchange ideas between the various arts, styles and cultures. The operator is a non-profit association “initiative folk! eV "
In the run-up to the festival, the series of events “Auftakt! Wild Tones ”.

- 2008 Introduction of the event series “AUFTAKT! Wilde Töne "and three-day festival (May 30th to June 1st)
- 2009 “START! Wilde Töne ”and two-day festival (June 12th to June 13th). The festival will be held every two years in the future
- 2010 Start of the event series “Zwischenentöne”, which takes place between the festival years
